Almost 193 years after becoming an official county, Henry County residents will have a way to commemorate Revolutionary War Patriot, Patrick Henry, for which Henry County is named. Thanks to the vision and exceptional talent of McDonough artist Andy Davis, a life size bronze sculpture will be dedicated to the county during a ceremony on Saturday, March 29th at 2:00 pm.
The ceremony will be even more momentous as decedent Patrick Henry Jolly, the 5th great grandson of the patriot, will recite a portion of the famous speech given by Patrick Henry at St. John’s Church in Richmond, Va. Artist Andy Davis will be on hand to share his inspiration and vision for the sculpture.
